“Weather” to Run

There is a new tool to help you decide when is the best time for you to go for a run. With summer's heat just getting started, most runners are busy checking the hourly predictions to try and get their run in prior to the warm up. The Weather Channel app available for iPhone now has a feature that will provide you a sliding scale from 1-10. The number 10 would represent the best time to run. The score is based on evaluating temperature, precipitation, humidity, and wind. You can even adjust these settings to personalize them for what you consider the best weather to run in.

After you initialize the Weather Channel app, you will find "Outdoors" at the bottom of the page when you open the app. Press "Details" and you will see the current score for running. Slide the screen to the left and you will be able to see the hourly scores for the day one more slide next twenty four hours. Slide the screen to the left one more time you will have a glance for the upcoming week with the best times detailed.
