About me

Like so many others, I have been a runner since I can remember.  Life was going well for me until I took a hard fall on a steep downhill mountain fire road. At first, I got up, brushed off and continued on my way trying to run without limping.  But as the months and physical therapy went on, I could not run without ever-present pain.  One day in desperation I typed in “pain free running” on the internet and my Chi Running® experience began.  Well, it has been almost 11 years since I started this adventure, and I am still going strong – pain free. Excited to learn even more, anytime Danny Dreyer came to Los Angeles I would attend his workshops, getting the education directly from the source. I was subsequently encouraged by another instructor to consider becoming one myself. And thus, an even more challenging adventure began. Many opportunities came up for me to work with Danny Dryer before he decided to retire. Spending time and learning directly from Danny, the founder of ChiRunning and ChiWalking provided me insights that I would not normally get as an average instructor. Understanding the whys and how’s are extremely important in developing my practice as well as making sure clients benefit from this knowledge. As a certified Chi/ChiRunning/ChiWalking Master Instructor, I am comfortable in teaching others to excel and to become proficient at whatever the endeavor might be. Particularly when it is something I enjoy and want to share with others. My only regret is not having ChiRunning® prior to my injury because it sure makes the miles fly by with very little effort and I am always refreshed after logging in those long miles.

My Mission

The Mission of Balanced N Motion is to provide personalized instruction designed to fit the individual, thus ensuring Chi Walking® and Chi Running® techniques are clearly understood. In addition, help the client build the confidence to be able to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves using gradual progress. Most important of all, the client is able to be comfortable in a relaxed learning environment that allows for self-growth.
